Ghost Rider (2006) - Series 6

Ghost Rider (2006)

2006 - 2009

DESCRIPTION

Ghost Rider Volume 6 ran from September 2006 to July 2009, published by Marvel Comics. The series starred Johnny Blaze as the Ghost Rider, featuring him in a supernatural war between Heaven and Hell after his escape from Hell itself—an escape engineered as part of Lucifer's larger plans.

Written by Daniel Way for issues #1-19 and Jason Aaron for issues #20-35, with primary art by Javier Saltares, Mark Texeira, and Richard Corben. Way's run established Johnny Blaze's quest to hunt down the remaining avatars of Lucifer across multiple story arcs including "Vicious Cycle," "The Life and Death of Johnny Blaze," "Apocalypse Soon" (featuring a World War Hulk tie-in), and "Revelations." Aaron's subsequent run took the character in new directions through issue #35 and continued into the Ghost Riders: Heaven's On Fire miniseries.

The series ran for 35 regular issues plus 2 annuals, and has been collected in multiple trade paperback editions including Ghost Rider by Daniel Way: The Complete Collection and Ghost Rider by Jason Aaron Omnibus.
