DESCRIPTION
Published from May 2006 to May 2007, '52' is a weekly comic book series by DC Comics. It was created by writers Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid, with art by Keith Giffen and others. The series ran for 52 issues and was notable for its unique format, releasing a new issue every week for a year. '52' explored the DC Universe in the aftermath of the 'Infinite Crisis' event, focusing on a year without Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, who were all absent from the world. Key characters included Booster Gold, Black Adam, Renee Montoya, and the Question, among others. Major plotlines involved Booster Gold's attempts to become a respected hero, Black Adam's rise and fall, and the mysterious '52' countdown. The series was significant for its ambitious storytelling and for filling in the narrative gap left by the absence of DC's Trinity. It also introduced new characters and concepts, such as the multiverse's return to DC continuity. '52' was critically acclaimed for its innovative approach and complex storytelling.
