A Holocaust survivor who controls magnetic fields with his mind, Erik Lehnsherr believes mutant superiority is the only path to survival. As Magneto, he has been the X-Men's greatest enemy and occasional ally, his methods brutal but his goal of mutant survival understandable given his traumatic past.
