Data Sources#
Our comic book metadata comes from a wide range of sources, and a large part of it comes directly from publishers. Others include ComicVine (used under its API terms of service), Metron, MyAnimeList and the Media Arts Database (メディア芸術データベース, run by Japan's National Art Research Center) for manga, and the Grand Comics Database. The VerseDB community keeps it all accurate through our moderation system.
Market & Sales Data#
Sales data and market values draw on completed sales from many marketplaces and retailers, including eBay and MyComicShop.
