Yu Nishinoya is the libero of the Karasuno High volleyball team in Haikyu!!, and the shortest player on the roster. His teammates call him Karasuno's Guardian Deity for the receives he digs out of balls everyone else has written off. Loud, fearless and incapable of sitting still, he supplies as much of the team's energy as he does its defense. His signature dive-and-roll receive is called Rolling Thunder.
