Basil Sandhurst is a scientist whose obsession with control led him to create a powerful exoskeleton suit fueled by the mental energy of others. After a laboratory accident left him crippled, he used technology to regain mobility and amplify his influence through devices called slave discs that siphon psychic power from victims. Known as the Controller, he has clashed with heroes like Iron Man while seeking to dominate those around him.
