Pyra is the "mother" of Death's Head. She and her consort Lupex are powerful magic users who can teleport themselves and others across time and space. However Lupex's magical energy was deforming and slowly killing his body. He created Death's Head to be an unnaging host body for him. Instead Pyra programmed the cyborg to be a fiercely independent bounty hunter.
