Mister Misery is a supernatural being created by Doctor Strange for the sole purpose of taking on all the pain and suffering Strange would have experienced using magic. It was locked in the cellar of the Sanctum Sanctorum and held a grudge against the Sorcerer Supreme for his treatment.
