Description

Guts, known as the Black Swordsman, is the protagonist of Kentaro Miura's manga series Berserk. Raised among brutal mercenaries and forged by a lifetime of violence, he wields a massive iron sword and hunts the demonic Apostles that now inhabit his world. His story is driven by revenge against Griffith, a former commander who betrayed him and their comrades in a catastrophic event known as the Eclipse. Berserk began serialization in 1989 in Young Animal magazine.
