After eating the Yomi Yomi no Mi Devil Fruit, which grants one revival after death, his soul returned to find his body had long since reduced to bone. He fights with a shikomizue, a sword concealed in a cane, and spent fifty years adrift in the fog of the Florian Triangle before encountering Luffy's crew.
