Created in 1983 by writer Robin Wood and artist Alberto Salinas, Dago is the alias of Cesare Renzi, a 16th-century Venetian nobleman. After being betrayed by his closest friend, he abandons his former life and becomes a ruthless mercenary. His adventures unfold across Renaissance Europe, placing him at major historical events including the Sack of Rome in 1527.
