Yukito Kishiro is a Japanese manga artist born in Tokyo who began his professional career at age 17 in Weekly Shonen Sunday. He is best known for the cyberpunk series Battle Angel Alita, published from 1990 to 1995, which follows a combat cyborg discovered in a scrap heap and has been collected in multiple editions. A Hollywood film adaptation was released in 2019.
