Biography
Yuu Watase is a Japanese manga creator who debuted in 1989 with the short story Pajama de Ojama. She is best known for Fushigi Yugi, serialized in Japan from 1992 to 1995, which became Viz Media's best-selling shojo title in the United States. She won the 43rd Shogakukan Manga Award in the shojo category for Ceres, Celestial Legend and has published over 50 volumes of manga.
