Biography
Japanese manga artist born in Hokkaido in 1972, known for shojo romance stories published in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret. She debuted in 1991 and her early series Sensei! ran for 20 volumes in that magazine. Her romantic comedy High School Debut, which ran from 2003 to 2008, became her most popular work and was adapted into a live-action film in 2011. Her subsequent series Aozora Yell, which ran from 2008 to 2015, was also adapted to film.
