Biography
Gallieno Ferri was an Italian comic book artist born in Genoa. He began his career under the pseudonym Fergal, collaborating with writer Giovanni De Leo on Il Fantasma Verde and Piuma Rossa, and later created the western series Thunder Jack. In 1961 he partnered with writer and publisher Sergio Bonelli to create Zagor, drawing the character's early adventures and covers for decades. Ferri received the Romics d'Oro award in 2009 and was honored on the Lucca Comics Walk of Fame in 2016.
