Shinji Wada was a Japanese manga artist best known for creating Sukeban Deka, a crime action series about a delinquent high school student recruited as a covert detective. First published in 1976, the manga spawned two anime adaptations and multiple live-action films. His work primarily targeted female readers and was influential in the girls' action manga genre.
