Biography
Takayuki Yamaguchi is a Japanese manga artist known for visceral, heavily stylized works set against historical and dystopian backdrops. He created Apocalypse Zero, serialized from 1994, and Shigurui, a dark samurai manga published by Akita Shoten from 2003 that was adapted into a 12-episode anime series by Madhouse. His work is characterized by intense violence and detailed action sequences.
