Biography

Stephan Pastis is an American cartoonist and former attorney best known as the creator of Pearls Before Swine, the syndicated daily strip that debuted in 2002 and now appears in more than 900 newspapers. The National Cartoonists Society named Pearls the Best Newspaper Comic Strip in 2003, 2006, and 2014, and awarded Pastis the Reuben for Cartoonist of the Year in 2018. He also writes the Timmy Failure middle-grade series and the Trubble Town graphic novels, and co-wrote the Disney film Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.
