Hermann Huppen
Biography
Hermann Huppen was a Belgian comics artist who debuted in the magazine Spirou in 1964. He is best known for Comanche, a western series created in 1969 with writer Greg, and Jeremiah, a post-apocalyptic series he both wrote and drew beginning in 1977. Jeremiah ran for decades and was later adapted into a television series. His work helped define the hardboiled, cinematic register in Franco-Belgian comics.
