Biography
Willy Vandersteen was a Belgian cartoonist from Antwerp best known as the creator of Suske en Wiske, which began publication in 1945 and became the longest-running Flemish comic series still in production. His studio produced more than 1,000 comic albums across over 25 series, selling more than 200 million copies worldwide. Hergé praised him as the Brueghel of the comic strip.
