Jack T. Chick was an American cartoonist best known for creating small-format evangelical tracts published under his company, Chick Publications. He published his first tract in 1960 and officially founded Chick Publications in 1970 in Rancho Cucamonga, California. His tracts, written and illustrated in a comics format, were distributed in over 100 languages and carried evangelical Christian messages from a fundamentalist Baptist perspective.
