About This Event
Small Press Expo (SPX) is an annual festival for independent and small-press comics, graphic novels, and cartooning held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in North Bethesda, Maryland. The 2026 show runs September 12-13 and hosts roughly 450 creators across some 270 exhibitor tables, with a full slate of panels and workshops centered on the comic arts. SPX is also home to the annual Ignatz Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in comics and cartooning.
