Honestly? It starts off pretty slow. But it picks up towards the end and leaves you wanting more. The art from Miriana Puglia is where it is at though. Super detailed, great to look at, and it carries the book hard. Dearbhla Kelly's colors tie it all together nicely too. Not a perfect read but a good one. Issue two is going on the pull list for sure.

A first look at Smile: For the Camera #1 An IDW comic strip about the world of Smile movies. The action takes place in 2005, the theme is the nightmares of the modeling business. At the same time, one should not expect any deepening or reinterpretation of the ent of the smiling entity. Screenplay: Hannah Rose May, drawing: Miriana Puglia.
