A well-managed Pull List helps you stay on top of upcoming comic releases and plan your purchases efficiently.## Review Your Pull List Weekly
Check your Pull List each week to ensure it reflects what you want to track.
- Remove series you're no longer interested in
- Update series status (active/paused/canceled)
- Review upcoming releases
- Skip issues you don't want
Set a reminder to review your Pull List before Wednesday so you're ready for New Comic Book Day.
Use Series Status Strategically#
| Status | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Active | Series you're actively collecting - appears in emails and upcoming releases |
| Paused | Series you might resume later - preserves settings, not in emails |
| Canceled | Series you've stopped collecting - keeps history, can be removed later |
Use "Paused" instead of removing series if you're unsure - it's easier to reactivate than re-add.
Skip Individual Issues Wisely#
Use the skip feature for issues you don't want without unsubscribing from the series.
Good reasons to skip:
- Tie-in events you're not following
- Fill-in artists or writers
- Issues outside the main storyline
- Weeks when you need to cut back on spending
Skipped issues are hidden from upcoming releases and emails. You can unskip later if you change your mind.
Enable Smart Notifications#
Customize notifications based on how you want to stay informed:
| Strategy | How | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| All Series | Enable global notifications | Full visibility on everything |
| Priority Only | Disable global, enable per-series | Selective collectors |
| No Emails | Disable all notifications | Regular website visitors |
Use Filters Effectively#
Master the filter system to quickly navigate large pull lists.
Weekly Shopping Prep:
- Status: Active
- View upcoming issues for current week
Review Paused Series:
- Status: Paused
- Decide: Resume or Cancel?
Publisher Focus:
- Filter by specific publishers
- Review all Marvel, DC, or Image series at once
Export Before Shopping (PRO)#
Generate your list before visiting the comic shop:
- Go to your Pull List
- Set to current week, exclude skipped issues
- Export as CSV
- Open on your phone or share with your shop
Many comic shops appreciate receiving your pull list in advance for pre-orders.
Add Personal Notes#
Use the notes field to track important information:
- "Wait for trade paperback"
- "Favorite ongoing series"
- "Try first 3 issues then decide"
- "Limited series - ends at #12"
Track Your Collection Progress#
Use Pull List alongside Collection tracking:
- Series in Pull List = Planning to buy
- Issues released = Check your Pull List
- Issues purchased = Add to Collection
- Issues read = Mark as Read
Keep Your Pull List Current#
Monthly maintenance:
- Review all paused series - resume or cancel?
- Remove canceled series you no longer need
- Check for new series to add
- Update notes as needed
When series end:
- Completed series can be removed
- Or keep them with "Canceled" status for reference
