DESCRIPTION
Published in 1992 by Marvel Comics, 'Rise of the Midnight Sons' was a crossover event that introduced a new supernatural team within the Marvel Universe. The story arc spanned across several titles, including 'Ghost Rider', 'Spirits of Vengeance', 'Morbius: The Living Vampire', 'Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins', 'Nightstalkers', and 'Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance'. The plot centers around the resurrection of Lilith, the Mother of Demons, who seeks to reclaim her power and conquer the world. In response, Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze form the Midnight Sons, a group of supernatural heroes, to combat Lilith and her demonic offspring, the Lilin. Key characters include Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch), Johnny Blaze, Morbius, Blade, and the Darkhold Redeemers. The storyline was written by Howard Mackie, Len Kaminski, and others, with art by Andy Kubert, Ron Wagner, and others. It consisted of six issues, each serving as a first issue for the respective series involved. The event was significant for expanding Marvel's supernatural universe and setting the stage for future horror-themed storylines.
