DESCRIPTION
Published in 2005, 'Villains United' was a six-issue limited series written by Gail Simone with art by Dale Eaglesham. The series was published by DC Comics as part of the lead-up to the major crossover event 'Infinite Crisis.' The story centers around a group of supervillains who refuse to join Lex Luthor's Secret Society of Super Villains. This group, known as the Secret Six, includes Catman, Deadshot, Cheshire, Scandal Savage, Ragdoll, and Parademon. The plot follows their struggle against the larger villain community and their internal dynamics. Key events include the Secret Six's battles with the Society and the revelation of a traitor within their ranks. The series was notable for its character development, especially of Catman, who was revitalized from a minor villain to a complex anti-hero. 'Villains United' was well-received for its engaging plot and character work, and it played a significant role in setting the stage for 'Infinite Crisis.' The series consisted of six issues and was part of the larger 'Countdown to Infinite Crisis' storyline, which included other mini-series like 'The OMAC Project' and 'Day of Vengeance.'
