DESCRIPTION
Published in 2007 and written by J. Michael Straczynski and Joe Quesada, with art by Joe Quesada, 'One More Day' is a four-part story arc in the Spider-Man series published by Marvel Comics. The storyline appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #544-545, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #24, and The Sensational Spider-Man #41. The arc deals with the aftermath of the 'Civil War' event, where Peter Parker's identity as Spider-Man was revealed to the world. Following the shooting of Aunt May, Peter and Mary Jane Watson make a deal with the demon Mephisto to save her life. In exchange, Mephisto erases the memory of Peter's marriage to Mary Jane, effectively resetting their relationship and altering Spider-Man's continuity. This controversial storyline had significant implications for Spider-Man's character, as it undid years of continuity and was met with mixed critical reception. It is considered a pivotal moment in Spider-Man's history due to its impact on his personal life and the broader Marvel Universe.
