Description
The Dark Avengers are a Marvel team assembled by Norman Osborn during his rise to power over the American security apparatus. Presenting a public-facing Avengers lineup, Osborn secretly staffed it with reformed-in-name-only villains disguised as familiar heroes. He led as the armored Iron Patriot, with figures like Bullseye posing as Hawkeye and Moonstone as Ms. Marvel. The team operated as an instrument of Osborn's agenda during the Dark Reign era. Their run led into his assault on Asgard in the Siege storyline.
