The Order
Description
The Order is a team of super-villains assembled to overrun Earth's defenses in Robert Kirkman and Benito Cereno's Guarding the Globe, introduced as the Global Defense Agency scrambles to rebuild its roster after the Viltrumite War guts the Guardians of the Globe. Its lineup includes Embrace, Face, Furnace, Set, Multi-Paul, Octoboss, Insomniac, Isotope, Machine Head, Red Eye, Slaying Mantis, Walking Dread, and War Woman II, a deliberately oversized roster meant to overwhelm the newly formed Guarding the Globe squad. Cecil Stedman's recruitment drive for fresh heroes is framed directly against the threat the Order poses, making the team as much a stress test for the rebuilt agency as a straightforward villain roster.
