Birds of Prey

The Birds of Prey are a DC team built around a partnership between Barbara Gordon, operating as the information broker Oracle, and the martial artist Black Canary. Conceived by Jordan B. Gorfinkel and largely defined by writer Chuck Dixon, the team debuted in the 1990s. Oracle coordinates missions from behind the scenes while a rotating field roster, often including Huntress, carries them out. The lineup has grown into a shifting sisterhood of DC heroines. The team is notable for centering women and for its blend of espionage and superheroics.
