Mark Spears Monsters
Mark Spears Monsters is Keenspot's comic franchise built from the trading card line Mark Spears created around his own takes on the classic movie monsters. Spears writes, draws and covers the books himself.
The ongoing series launched in September 2024 and is set in the early 1980s, following a Monster Slayer who had retired from the work, two detectives on a run of killings, and a group of kids who see something they were not meant to. A Free Comic Book Day one-shot followed in May 2025, and a prequel mini-series, The Monster & The Wolf, ran alongside it.
The books are known for very large variant cover assortments and for blind bag printings that have set independent-market order records.
