Poussy is a black-and-white cat created by Peyo, the artist behind The Smurfs. His gag strip began in Le Soir in 1949 and ran in color in Dupuis's Spirou from 1965. Lucien De Gieter drew new gags from 1969, and Dupuis collected the strip in albums in 1976–77.
