Fix is one of the twin fox brothers at the center of Fix und Foxi, the long-running German comics magazine created by Rolf Kauka. The series launched in 1953 and ran uninterrupted until 1994, with Fix and his brother Foxi serving as the resourceful protagonists of adventures aimed at young readers. The characters were conceived as positive role models, depicted as open-minded, agile, and caring. At the magazine's peak in the mid-1960s, weekly issues reached a print run exceeding 400,000 copies across West Germany.
