Roel Dijkstra is the title character of the long-running Dutch football comic created by Jan Steeman and Andries Brandt in 1975, modeled in part on Johan Cruyff. A striker for FC Leidrecht, he moves abroad to FC Hadfort in England, FC Union in Corsica and FC Rapiditas in Spain before returning home.
