Thunderball is a Marvel Comics villain and member of the Wrecking Crew, a group of criminals who gained enhanced strength through magical energy linked to the Asgardian Wrecker's crowbar. Jeff Cannon, a physicist who was present during the power transfer, wields an indestructible wrecking ball on a chain as his primary weapon. He first appeared in Defenders #17 in 1974 and is a recurring adversary of the Avengers, Thor, and other Marvel heroes.
