The Egyptian moon god of the Marvel Universe, Khonshu is the patron behind Moon Knight. He acts through mortal avatars, most famously Marc Spector, whom he raised from the edge of death. Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz created him for Moon Knight #1 in 1980.
