Thor is the Norse god of thunder, son of Odin and Jörð. A protector of mankind and the gods, he is known for his immense strength and his battles against the giants of Jötunheimr. He rides across the sky in a chariot drawn by two goats, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr.
