Description
Chewbacca is a Wookiee warrior and co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon who serves as Han Solo's loyal companion and one of the central characters of the Star Wars franchise, first appearing in Marvel Comics' Star Wars #2 in 1977. Adapted from George Lucas's original film in comics written by Roy Thomas with art by Howard Chaykin, he communicates through growls and roars and is one of the most recognizable non-human characters in the saga. He appears throughout Marvel's original Star Wars comic run and subsequent adaptations.
