Darkoth was once U.S. Air Force Major Desmond Pitt. He was transformed into a demonic being by Doctor Doom. Initially brainwashed, Darkoth later regained his memories and became an adversary to Doom. He also allied with the Thing and sought to establish peace in Belasco's realm.
