Description

Wendell Vaughn is Quasar, a former SHIELD agent who becomes the wielder of the Quantum Bands, ancient artifacts that allow him to project and manipulate quantum energy, first appearing as Marvel Boy in Captain America #217 in 1978. He headlined his own ongoing series beginning in 1989 that explored Marvel's cosmic mythology and established him as Earth's designated Protector of the Universe. He has been a consistent presence in Marvel cosmic storylines and team books across several decades.
