Herupa Hando Hu was one of the Guardians of the Universe. After the Crisis on Infinite Earths he instituted a plan to reunite the Guardians with their female counterparts, the Zamarons. Herupa Hando Hu bested the Zamaron leader Nadia Safir in combat, taking her as his consort.
