Northstar, real name Jean-Paul Beaubier, is a mutant with superhuman speed and the ability to emit bursts of light. He is the twin brother of Aurora and has been a member of both Alpha Flight and the X-Men teams. Known for his quick reflexes and agility, Northstar also holds the distinction of being one of the first openly gay superheroes in mainstream comics.
