More than the pet dog he appears to be, Goober is able to turn invisible at will and speak with humans without difficulty. Although a coward, he is clearly the de facto leader of the human journalistic squad called the Ghost-Chasers. For some reason, no one ever seems to be surprised to meet a green dog who can speak and turn invisible.
