Description

Bolivar is a non-anthropomorphic St. Bernard dog belonging to Donald Duck, first introduced in the 1936 Disney theatrical cartoon Alpine Climbers and established as Donald's pet in newspaper comic strips from 1938 onward. In the comics he served primarily as a companion to Huey, Dewey, and Louie and appeared throughout Carl Barks' Donald Duck stories as a gentle family dog. He has been a recurring presence in Disney comic publications featuring the Duck family across numerous publishers.
