Big Chief is the portly father of Little Hiawatha in Disney's Little Hiawatha comics, which grew out of the 1937 Disney short of the same name. A comical contrast to his small but earnest son, he appeared in Disney comics published by Dell, including Four Color editions from the 1940s onward.
