Little Hiawatha

Little Hiawatha is a young Native American boy and the protagonist of a 1937 Disney Silly Symphonies animated short film inspired by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem The Song of Hiawatha, released on May 15, 1937. Too softhearted to hunt the animals he encounters, he finds himself rescued by them in moments of danger. The character appeared in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories and several Dell Four Color issues, extending his life beyond the original short film.
