IDW Publishing is an American comic book publisher founded in 1999 as part of Idea and Design Works, LLC. Based in San Diego, California, IDW established itself as a leading publisher of licensed properties, adapting franchises from TV, film, and video games into comics.
Imprints include Top Shelf Productions for literary and indie-style graphic novels, and IDW Originals for creator-owned titles. The company also produces art books, collectibles, and tabletop gaming products.
