Pluto is Mickey Mouse's dog, created at Walt Disney in 1930 and first seen in the short The Chain Gang as Rover. He took the name Pluto in The Moose Hunt in 1931 and reached the Mickey Mouse newspaper strip later that year. He stays a real dog, unable to speak or walk upright.
