Arale Norimaki is the android star of Akira Toriyama's manga Dr. Slump, built by the scientist Senbei Norimaki in the fictional Penguin Village. Cheerful and almost entirely lacking common sense, she possesses immense superhuman strength despite needing thick glasses for her poor eyesight. Arale was meant as a minor guest character but became the series' breakout lead after her debut.
