Description
Shimura Shinpachi is one of the three main protagonists of Hideaki Sorachi's manga Gintama, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2003 to 2019. A samurai-in-training living in an alternate Edo-period Japan under alien occupation, Shinpachi is the straight-man of the Yorozuya trio, providing rational commentary against the chaos generated by his companions. He inherited the Koudoukan dojo alongside his older sister Tae and trains in the Tendoumushin sword-fighting style, though his modest skill is often overshadowed by those around him.
